Marvel Rivals Gives A First Look At Season 4.5 Update Features
On September 30, Marvel Rivals creative director Guangyun “Guangguang” Chen unveiled some of the features coming in Season 4.5, highlighted by the arrival of Daredevil as the game’s new Duelist. Marvel Rivals Season 4.5 is scheduled to launch on Friday, October 10, and will also include some new features and balance changes for players to enjoy.
The upcoming mid-season patch for Marvel Rivals will mark the arrival of Matt Murdock, better known as Daredevil, as a Duelist hero. Daredevil was first revealed in a trailer for Marvel Rivals Season 4, Heart of the Dragon, as the “devil” opposed by the angelic Asgardian hero, Angela. According to Guangguang, Daredevil’s radar senses and Billy Clubs will be part of his hero kit, which will allow him to prioritize a target and close the gap with his agility. Daredevil’s Ultimate ability is said to involve “unleashing The Beast” in some capacity, but NetEase Games has kept further gameplay details about Daredevil under wraps.
Marvel Rivals Season 4.5 Will Include Daredevil And New Features
Alongside Daredevil’s arrival in Marvel Rivals, NetEase Games shared some other features arriving in Season 4.5 this fall. In the latest Dev Vision episode on YouTube, Guangguang shared that cross-platform progression will be available in Marvel Rivals, though it will be done in a limited capacity starting in Season 4.5. This feature will allow players to carry over their main hero preferences and share what they’ve unlocked on each platform. However, there will be a short cooldown for changing or adding accounts, and the feature won’t be fully released until Marvel Rivals Season 5. Guangguang clarified that all ranks and leaderboard positions will remain platform-specific. Season 4.5’s hero balance changes were not revealed, so players must wait a little longer to see which Marvel Rivals characters will receive adjustments.
According to Marvel Rivals‘ roadmap for Season 4, the upcoming Season 4.5 patch is scheduled to launch on all platforms on Friday, October 10. Season 4.5 will also be making changes to specific team-up abilities, as Ragnarok Rebirth (Thor and Hela) will be removed, and Gamma Charge will be exclusive to Hulk and Black Panther. Two new team-up abilities will be added, called Bestial Hunt (Daredevil and The Punisher) and Deep Wrath (Hela and Namor). Bestial Hunt will narrow the vision of any target that’s hit, and Deep Wrath can hit multiple targets.
New skins will be available in Marvel Rivals for Halloween, with heroes like Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch taking on some zombie-like appearances. A new mode for Marvel Rivals will be discussed during the Thailand Game Show on October 17, though it remains to be seen what that is.
