There has been widespread speculation over Grealish's future at City after he fell down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola in the 2024-25 campaign. He made 20 Premier League appearances and clocked just 715 minutes on the pitch as Guardiola favoured the likes of Savinho and Jeremy Doku in wide areas. Grealish's omission from City's final matchday squad against Fulham at the weekend added even more fuel to rumours of his imminent exit.

According to the , Grealish could look for other opportunities as he wants more game time, while the Cityzens are open to offers for the man they signed from Aston Villa for £100m ($136m) in 2021. However, the biggest hurdle that City will have to overcome is the England international's massive wages. The club would ideally like to part ways with the 28-year-old permanently, but could also be open to the idea of loaning him out.
